Thermoelectric Air Conditioners
An ElectraCOOL™ TAC60™ air-to-air heat exchanger (Air Conditioner) is a well-engineered device for the cooling of air in an enclosure.
Click here to see our TACE™ 100 enclosure.
Our units are particularly well suited for use with telecom, radio and communications equipment enclosures and control panels.
All units are delivered ready to be easily and quickly mounted. For cooling it uses electrical energy only. The same effects of a traditional compressor system can be obtained without the employment of gas or moving parts.
There are no moving mechanical parts (except fans) so thermoelectric air-to-air exchangers are extremely reliable with an almost unlimited life span and require no maintenance (except possible fan replacement). Multiple units can be connected in series or parallel depending on power available and cooling requirements. Off-the-shelf units are 12 VDC nominal and you may configure for 24VDC, 36VDC or 48VDC simply by connecting strings of 2, 3 or 4 units, in series.

"Static" construction makes ElectraCOOL™ exchangers immune to vibration thus allowing them to be used in any orientation and makes them particularly suitable for the application on moving platforms including ships, aircraft and robots.
A thermoelectric air-to-air exchanger is good for the environment because they don’t contain any polluting substances such as CFC or other gases. Our state-of-the-art air conditioners are compact and much simpler than a compressor-based system and can be easily adapted and mounted in many applications
All models are very efficient with a high Coefficient of Performance. This means that for a given cooling capacity the electrical power absorbed (and many related technical problems) are typically reduced making ElectraCOOL™ exchangers economical to own and operate.
Need A Temperature Controller?

TLZ10 is a compact, microprocessor based temperature controller that is great for simple applications where maintaining a single temperature is desired. Selected to work with all of our Air Conditioning units in 12 or 24 Volt. This simple unit is a breeze hook up and program. With only one set point the unit is easily programmable for either direct action (cooling) OR reverse action (heating). The Dynamic set point feature allows use in varying ambient conditions. $199 with NTC sensor. For more details see the links below:

The 4 inch square (100mm) footprint is a small enough package to fit on almost any electronics enclosure or control panel. Click here for full-sized photo. Multiple units can be connected together to provide for greater capacity (only limited by the DC power available.) With the 60 Watts (204 Btu/hour) of capacity per unit, TAC-60 is available in a modular 12 Volt package. Connect them in series for 24V or greater nominal voltages. Just $199.95 each or $175- each for ten or more. The Outdoor Rated TAC60-E version (IP56 rated) is $249.95, 10+ $199.95
TAC-60 basic specifications and cooling capacities are:
60 Watts (204 Btu/h)
12 VDC 6.7-Amps
4.7 Lbs. (2.1-Kg)
4 x 4 x 7.7 inches (100x100x195mm)
NOTE: Outdoor rated Units have external fans designed to meet harsh environmental conditions. These conditions include the direct or indirect spray of water onto the fan, exposure to fine dust particles, morning dew that may condense inside the fan, long tem exposure to salt spray and salt fog. In general, this option is designed to meet standard specifications such as:
NEMA 3, 3R, 3S, 4, 4X, 12, 12K
IP 54, 55, 56
